Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 April 2026
The short version: Pixorie stores all your personal health data (meals, weight, water) locally on your device. We never sell your data. The only data that leaves your device is food images you choose to scan (sent to Groq's API for AI analysis) and payment details (processed by Razorpay). We do not have a server-side database of your health information.
1. About Us — Legal Entity
Pixorie is a brand owned and operated by Seantra, a sole proprietorship. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to Seantra.
- Legal Entity: Sean Raphael Palanna (Sole Proprietor)
- Trade Name: Seantra
- Product / Brand: Pixorie
- Website: www.pixorie.com
- Contact: support@pixorie.com
- Address: Halimabai Compound, Marol Maroshi Road, Opp Uttam Dhaba, Andheri East, Mumbai, Maharashtra – 400059, India
2. What Data We Collect
Pixorie collects two categories of data:
- App data you create: meal logs, calorie goals, water intake, body weight entries, custom food presets, and notification preferences. This data is stored exclusively in your browser's
localStorage and never leaves your device.
- Food images (when you use AI Scan): When you tap "Analyze" on a food photo, that image is sent to Groq's API for nutritional analysis. Images are processed ephemerally and are not stored by Groq beyond the single API call.
3. Local Storage & Your Device
All your health and fitness data — meals, macros, water intake, weight, streaks, and goals — is stored in your browser's localStorage. This means:
- Your data exists only on the device and browser you use Pixorie on.
- Pixorie has no server-side database storing your personal health information.
- If you clear your browser data or uninstall the app, your Pixorie data will be deleted. We recommend using the built-in JSON Backup export regularly.
- Your data is not synced across devices unless you manually export and import it.
4. Groq API & Image Processing
When you use the AI Food Scan feature, the image you select is sent to Groq (groq.com), an AI inference provider, for nutritional analysis. The following applies:
- Images are transmitted over HTTPS to Groq's servers.
- Groq processes the image using a large language model (LLaMA 4 Scout) and returns nutritional estimates.
- Pixorie does not store your images on any server. Once the API response is received, the image remains only in your device memory for the session.
- Groq's data handling is governed by Groq's Privacy Policy.
- Users who provide their own API key interact with Groq directly under their own account.
You can avoid sending images to any external service by using the manual food logging feature instead.
5. Payment Processing (Razorpay)
Pixorie uses Razorpay (Razorpay Software Private Limited) as its payment gateway for processing subscription payments for Pixorie Pro.
- When you purchase a subscription, you are redirected to or interact with a Razorpay-hosted payment interface. Your payment card details, UPI handles, or bank credentials are entered directly into Razorpay's secure environment and are never transmitted to or stored by Pixorie.
- Razorpay may collect your name, email address, phone number, and payment method details to process the transaction and for fraud prevention.
- Pixorie receives a transaction confirmation and a reference ID from Razorpay to activate your subscription. We store only this reference ID and your contact details (email/phone) provided at checkout for support and billing purposes.
- Razorpay's handling of payment data is governed by the Razorpay Privacy Policy. Razorpay is PCI-DSS compliant and RBI-licensed.
- Billing records (subscription status, payment reference, amount) are retained for 7 years as required by Indian accounting and tax regulations.
6. Analytics
Pixorie collects minimal, anonymous usage analytics stored locally in localStorage under the key pixorie_analytics. This includes:
- Number of AI scans performed
- Number of meals logged
- Number of active days
- Scan accuracy feedback (thumbs up/down counts)
- Voluntary calorie correction submissions
This data is used only for the admin dashboard (#admin panel) to help improve the app. It is not transmitted to any server and is never linked to your identity.
7. Third-Party Services
Pixorie uses the following third-party services:
We do not use advertising networks, social media trackers, or analytics SDKs (e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel). No cookies are set for tracking purposes.
8. Data Retention
- Health & app data: Stored exclusively in your browser's
localStorage. Retained until you clear it or delete it via Settings. We hold no copies.
- Payment & billing records: Subscription reference IDs, transaction amounts, and contact details used for billing are retained for 7 years from the transaction date, as required by the Income Tax Act, 1961 and GST law (India).
- Support correspondence: Emails sent to support@pixorie.com are retained for up to 3 years for quality assurance and dispute resolution purposes.
- Groq image data: Images sent to Groq are not retained by Pixorie. Groq's retention practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
9. Your Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control at all times:
- Access: All your data is visible within the app and can be exported as JSON or CSV at any time (Settings → Data).
- Deletion: You can delete all data instantly via Settings → Data → "Delete Everything".
- Portability: Export your data in JSON format for use with other services.
- Correction: Edit or delete any individual meal entry directly in the app.
10. GDPR Compliance
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies. Because Pixorie does not collect or process personal data on servers, the majority of GDPR obligations do not apply. Specifically:
- No personal data is transferred to third countries by Pixorie (note: Groq may process images on servers in the United States).
- No profiling or automated decision-making is performed.
- No consent is required to use core app functionality as no personal data leaves your device during normal use.
The sole exception is AI image scanning, which sends image data to Groq. By using the AI Scan feature, you consent to this processing. You may opt out by using manual logging exclusively.
11. Children's Privacy
Pixorie is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used Pixorie in a way that raises privacy concerns, please contact us and we will address the matter promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Pixorie after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
We encourage you to review this page periodically.
